Poster Design

Ignite is an adaptive skiing nonprofit in Boulder, Colorado. This design is based on Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.” The inspiration was the video of the song. In it, there are images of paper flora and fauna that were integral to the music. From that, I created a paper world filled with music and snow. The other aspects were added later to show the variety of people who make up the community that are supportive of a noble cause.

What I learned: This was the first time that I had worked with a board that made the choices of what would work and not work. It was fascinating hearing what they liked and disliked. With the postcard design, I learned more about the printing process and how Canva and Photoshop work together.

Saint Volunteer Transportation is a nonprofit in Fort Collins, Colorado, whose motto is providing independence through transportation and building community through relationships.

The staff were looking for a designer for their first annual celebration. While I did not get the pleasure of working with them, I was able to offer a design for their postcard collection they were using at the celebration.
